  • personal art projects;
  • personal prints;
  • personal stationery;
  • personal study or reference boards;
  • non-commercial social media posts;
  • private gifts;
  • personal creative experiments.

The files may be used multiple times for personal purposes, provided that no commercial use, resale, redistribution, or public asset sharing takes place.

Not allowed under Personal License

  • templates;
  • products for resale;
  • print-on-demand;
  • stock or marketplace products;
  • digital products for distribution or sale.

For any commercial use, a Standard Commercial License or Extended Commercial License is required.

5. Standard Commercial License

The Standard Commercial License allows limited commercial use of the purchased Digital Product.

This license is suitable for smaller commercial projects, limited product runs, editorial use, small business materials, and client projects with restricted scope.

Permitted use

Under the Standard Commercial License, the Customer may use the purchased Digital Product for:

  • one commercial project of their own; or
  • one commercial project for one client.

For the purposes of the Standard Commercial License, one commercial project means one clearly defined product, campaign, publication, website, packaging line, event, or client assignment.

A new product line, new client, separate campaign, substantially different use, or expanded commercial use may require a separate license.

The illustrations may be used as part of a final design, including:

  • branding materials;
  • packaging concepts;
  • labels;
  • editorial layouts;
  • websites;
  • blog graphics;
  • printed materials;
  • posters;
  • presentations;
  • social media graphics;
  • stationery;
  • small merchandise runs;
  • promotional materials;
  • limited physical products for sale.

Product quantity limit

If the illustrations are used on physical end products intended for sale, the total number of units must not exceed:

500 units

This limit applies to the total production or distribution volume of the end product using the purchased illustration.

Examples may include:

  • printed cards;
  • packaging;
  • labels;
  • apparel;
  • stationery;
  • souvenirs;
  • promotional products;
  • printed goods;
  • small product batches.

For digital end products, the Standard Commercial License applies only if the illustration is incorporated into a final, flattened, non-editable design and cannot be extracted, downloaded, edited, or reused as a standalone asset.

Digital templates, editable files, design resources, clipart sets, SVG bundles, pattern packs, printable packs, Canva templates, or similar resale products are not allowed under the Standard Commercial License.

Video / broadcast limit

If the purchased Digital Product is used in television, film, streaming video, video on demand, online video, advertising video, or similar audiovisual production, the Standard Commercial License may be used only if the total production budget does not exceed:

10,000 USD

For projects above this limit, an Extended Commercial License or custom license is required.

Important limitation

The Standard Commercial License allows use in one defined commercial project only.

A new project, new client, new product line, separate campaign, substantially different use, or expanded commercial use may require a separate license.

6. Extended Commercial License

The Extended Commercial License allows broader commercial use of the purchased Digital Product.

This license is suitable for larger commercial projects, multiple projects, higher-volume production, broader brand use, product-based businesses, agencies, studios, publishers, and professional design use.

Permitted use

Under the Extended Commercial License, the Customer may use the purchased Digital Product for:

  • multiple commercial projects;
  • multiple client projects;
  • branding systems;
  • packaging;
  • labels;
  • editorial layouts;
  • publishing;
  • websites;
  • advertising materials;
  • product design;
  • commercial printed materials;
  • merchandise;
  • promotional products;
  • large-scale print runs;
  • commercial campaigns;
  • professional design work.

Product quantity limit

Under the Extended Commercial License, physical end products may be produced and sold in an unlimited number of units, unless otherwise stated on the product page or agreed separately.

Digital end products are allowed only when the purchased illustrations are incorporated into a final design and cannot be extracted, edited, reused, or downloaded as standalone assets by end users.

Digital templates, editable products, design resources, clipart sets, SVG bundles, pattern packs, printable packs, Canva templates, or similar resale products require express written permission or a custom license.

Video / broadcast use

Under the Extended Commercial License, the purchased Digital Product may be used in television, film, streaming video, video on demand, online video, advertising video, and similar audiovisual projects with no budget limit, unless otherwise agreed separately.

Agency and client use

The Extended Commercial License may be used by agencies, studios, designers, and creative professionals for client work, provided that:

  • the original files are not transferred to the client as standalone assets;
  • the client receives only the final end product;
  • the files are not shared, resold, redistributed, or added to any asset library.

If the client needs direct access to the original editable files, a separate license or written permission is required.

7. Custom / Exclusive License

Custom, exclusive, or broader licenses may be arranged separately.

This may include:

  • exclusive use;
  • archive buyout;
  • custom illustration extensions;
  • removal of a product from future sale;
  • broader brand usage;
  • multi-brand usage;
  • large-scale campaign usage;
  • direct file access for a client or team;
  • special publishing or media rights;
  • rights not covered by Standard or Extended Commercial Licenses.

Custom or exclusive licensing requires a separate written agreement.

Unless such written agreement is signed, all licenses remain non-exclusive.

8. End product rule

The purchased illustrations must be used as part of a larger final design or end product.

The final end product must be significantly different from the original files and must not allow third parties to extract, download, edit, or reuse the illustrations as standalone assets.

Acceptable end products may include:

  • packaging designs;
  • labels;
  • editorial layouts;
  • books;
  • printed goods;
  • websites;
  • branding materials;
  • posters;
  • finished merchandise;
  • advertising materials;
  • social media graphics;
  • product designs;
  • presentation layouts.

The Customer may not sell or distribute the original files, isolated illustrations, editable assets, transparent PNG files, vector files, or lightly modified versions as standalone design resources.

9. Prohibited uses

Unless expressly allowed in the selected license or in a separate written agreement, the Customer may not:

  • resell, redistribute, sublicense, share, give away, or transfer the original files;
  • upload the files to stock platforms, marketplaces, design asset libraries, template platforms, or file-sharing services;
  • sell the illustrations as clipart, design resources, digital papers, patterns, SVG files, PNG files, vector assets, stickers, printable elements, or downloadable graphics;
  • create competing digital illustration packs, clipart sets, vector bundles, asset libraries, template kits, or design resources based primarily on the purchased files;
  • make the files available in a way that allows third parties to extract, download, edit, or reuse them;
  • claim authorship of the original illustrations;
  • use the illustrations as a trademark, service mark, logo, or registered brand mark without a separate written license;
  • register the purchased illustrations, modified versions, or substantially similar designs as industrial designs, design rights, trademarks, service marks, logos, or other exclusive rights without a separate written agreement;
  • represent that the Customer has exclusive rights to the illustrations unless an exclusive written agreement has been signed;
  • use the illustrations in a misleading way that suggests the Customer created the original artwork;
  • use the files for unlawful, defamatory, hateful, misleading, pornographic, or harmful content;
  • use the files in a way that infringes third-party rights;
  • use the files for political propaganda, discriminatory content, or content promoting violence;
  • use the files for AI training, machine learning datasets, generative AI model training, data scraping, or similar automated extraction;
  • mint, sell, or distribute the files as NFTs or blockchain-based assets without a separate written agreement;
  • use the original files as part of software, apps, databases, or platforms where users can access or generate derivative assets from the files.

10. Print-on-demand and make-to-order platforms

Use on print-on-demand, make-to-order, dropshipping, or marketplace production platforms is not allowed under the Personal License.

Under the Standard Commercial License, print-on-demand or make-to-order use is not allowed unless expressly stated on the product page or agreed separately in writing.

Under the Extended Commercial License, print-on-demand or make-to-order use may be allowed only if:

  • the illustration is incorporated into a finished end product;
  • the original files cannot be extracted or reused;
  • the design is not sold as a standalone illustration asset;
  • the total use complies with all restrictions of the license.

For large-scale print-on-demand, marketplace merchandise, or high-volume product resale, the Customer should contact Sketched Graphics for a custom license.

11. Templates, digital products, and resale products

The Customer may not use the illustrations to create digital products for resale where the purchased illustrations are the main value of the product.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Canva templates;
  • editable templates;
  • digital planners;
  • printable packs;
  • clipart sets;
  • SVG bundles;
  • pattern packs;
  • digital papers;
  • sticker sheets;
  • scrapbooking kits;
  • website templates;
  • social media templates;
  • branding templates;
  • asset libraries.

Such use is not allowed under the Personal License or Standard Commercial License.

Under the Extended Commercial License, such use is allowed only if expressly stated on the product page or approved in writing.

In many cases, a custom written license is required.

Even with an Extended Commercial License or custom permission, the original illustrations must not be extractable, editable, or reusable as standalone assets by end users.

12. Logo and trademark use

The Customer may use the illustrations as part of brand materials, packaging, or visual identity design under the applicable license.

However, the Customer may not register any purchased illustration, modified version, or substantially similar design as a trademark, logo, service mark, industrial design, design right, or exclusive brand identifier without a separate written agreement.

If the Customer needs exclusive logo, trademark, or design rights, a custom license or custom illustration commission is required.

13. Client work

Designers, agencies, studios, and creative professionals may use purchased Digital Products in client projects according to the selected license.

The Customer may deliver final designs to the client, such as:

  • packaging layouts;
  • brand presentations;
  • editorial layouts;
  • printed materials;
  • website graphics;
  • final product artwork.

The Customer may not transfer the original files to the client unless the license specifically allows it or separate written permission is granted.

If the client requires access to original editable files, the client must purchase an appropriate license or a separate written agreement must be arranged.

14. Attribution

Attribution is not required for commercial use unless otherwise stated in a separate agreement.

The Customer may credit Sketched Graphics voluntarily, for example:

Illustrations by Sketched Graphics

or

Hand-drawn illustrations by Yevheniia Lytvynovych / Sketched Graphics

Credit does not replace the need to purchase the correct license.

15. File modification

The Customer may modify the purchased files as needed for permitted end products.

Allowed modifications may include:

  • resizing;
  • recolouring;
  • cropping;
  • combining with text;
  • combining with other design elements;
  • creating layouts;
  • adapting to packaging, editorial, web, or print formats.

Modification of the files does not transfer copyright ownership.

Modified files remain subject to these License Terms and may not be resold, redistributed, or offered as standalone assets.

16. Use of previews and mockups

Product previews, mockups, and presentation images shown on the Website are for display purposes only.

They are not included in the purchase unless clearly stated on the product page.

The Customer may not use Website previews, mockups, product images, or screenshots as commercial assets unless they are included in the purchased files or permission is granted in writing.

17. No transfer of license

Licenses are granted to the Customer who purchased the Digital Product.

The license may not be transferred, assigned, sublicensed, resold, shared, or given to another person or entity without written permission.

If a company, studio, or agency purchases the license, the files may be used internally by employees or contractors working on the licensed project, provided that they follow these License Terms and do not retain or reuse the files outside the project.

18. No warranty of specific suitability

Digital Products are provided “as is”.

This does not affect the Customer’s statutory rights if the Digital Product does not conform to the contract.
